It is impossible to defeat an enemy we cannot see
The COVID-19 pandemic has devastating social and economical impacts.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have committed our technology to developing new tools aimed at helping in three main phases:
1Stopping viral spread by easy and accurate at-home PCR: SaLux
Development and testing of a pocket-size PCR (named SaLux) for the detection of viral RNA in 30 minutes from an anterior nasal swap or saliva

Status of the project:
– Working prototypes (TRL4) successfully tested with infected saliva and anterior nasal swabs (Nov. 2020)
2Helping to optimise resources when hospitals get overwhelmed:
CODOP – COvid-19 Disease Outcome Predictor

Status of the Project:
– Machine-learning algorithm validated in 30,000 patients from three continents with different immune protection status and with infected with different virus variants (from original Wuhan to Omicron)

3Testing at-home the immune protection against SARS-CoV-2: DropsIn

Status of the project:
– Anti-SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing antibodies detected with a novel device (DropsIn) using only 4 drops of capillary blood (Feb 2021)
– Device design ready for mass production (June 2021)
We expect our efforts to help not only in the current COVID-19 pandemic but also for the response to future ones.
This project has been awarded with a special grant from the Presidential office of the Max Planck Society.
